About Us

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks.

Established in 2019, the Tech in Heels (TIH) Foundation is a NPO whose structure of projects and initiatives are focused on helping to build a generation of young empowered girls who are well equipped for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)

TIH aims to create a platform for girls to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers by creating a sisterhood platform where young girls are able to be mentored by women in the technology, business and corporate industry through the sharing of knowledge and skills of the ever-evolving Tech environment as well as other social aspects that may affect a girls’ life.

Our Mission

To INSPIRE, INFORM, ENGAGE and EMPOWER the girl child with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to equip them to be active participants within the 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution) through projects and initiatives (Tech and Socio-Economic initiatives) held within the foundation

Inspire

INSPIRE through mentorship programs where girls are paired with a woman in industry who will assist them in aspects of life that may affect the girl child (career, social issues etc.)

Inform

INFORM through seminars and events that will be held to share knowledge, skills transferring (coding camps, classes etc.) and informing young girls on how to empower themselves within the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)

Engage

ENGAGE with the sisterhood of girls and women through one on sessions and group sessions where topics such as mental health and other social issues will be discussed with experts on the necessary fields to facilitate these engagements. We will also be engaging with our members of the sisterhood through our digital platforms

Empower
Empower

EMPOWER young girls through giving them a platform to explore their options and assist them in planning for a bright future through the initiatives of the foundation (sponsorships for education and tools) to help propel them - “a young girl with a dream becomes a woman with a vision”
